Palworld Official Card Game: What It Is, Every Set So Far and How to Play
Palworld's official card game, published by Bushiroad, already has two booster sets, two trial decks and a third set due in January 2027. Here is how a match works, which Pals became Legendary cards in Legends Awaken and where things stand on availability in Brazil.
If you play Palworld, you have probably already seen Jetragon on a card. The Palworld OFFICIAL CARD GAME is Palworld’s official trading card game, published by Bushiroad (the company behind Cardfight!! Vanguard and Weiß Schwarz). It launched on July 30, 2026, and on October 30 it received its second booster set, Legends Awaken, which brings the Legendary Pals into the game for the first time.
This post gathers what is confirmed on the official site: how a match works, what each product contains, which Pals got the rarest cards and where things stand on availability in Brazil.
What the game is
It is a competitive two-player game. Each player builds a team of Pals, gathers resources, builds structures and tries to bring the opponent’s life to zero. Bushiroad’s pitch is to bring the systems of the video game to the table: besides Pals, there are Gear, Event and Structure cards, and Pals have work aptitudes (mining, transporting, crafting) that change what they can do at your base.
Every card uses new illustrations drawn for the card game rather than reused game art. The game exists in Japanese, English and Simplified Chinese, with simultaneous releases in all three. There is no Portuguese edition.
According to Bushiroad, sales of the first two boosters are projected to pass 11 million packs worldwide by early November, and official demo sessions have had more than 24,000 participants.
How a match works
The rules below come from the official Comprehensive Rules (updated November 2, 2026) and Bushiroad’s quick manual.
- Main deck of exactly 50 cards, with at most 4 copies of the same card name. There is a cap of 8 Lucky Pals per deck (the Pals marked with the lucky icon, usually the strongest ones).
- A separate 10-card Soul deck. Souls are the game’s resource: to play a card, you pay its cost by resting (turning sideways) that many Souls.
- Five colors: red, blue, green and purple, plus colorless cards, which fit any deck. A deck picks up to two colors.
- Each player starts with 10 life and 5 cards in hand, with a single redraw (mulligan) allowed.
- A turn has five phases: Stand (untap your cards), Draw, Soul, Main (play Pals, structures and gear, then attack) and End.
- You win when your opponent’s life reaches zero or when they run out of cards in their deck.
Pals have cost, power and strike (the damage dealt to the player). There are also material and ingredient counters, produced by Pals through their aptitudes, which fuel abilities and structures. Anyone coming from the video game will recognize the logic: the base works best when you assign Pals with the right aptitude.
To get started, Bushiroad recommends the trial decks, which are playable out of the box with 60 cards (50 + 10 Souls), a paper playmat, a play guide and counters.

The first set, Dawn of Palpagos, got a second printing in October: reprinted cards carry a Roman numeral II in the bottom-right corner. Bushiroad also acknowledged a misprint on the first run’s packaging (the word “Palworld” was misspelled), to be fixed in future reprints.
Legends Awaken: the Legendary Pals arrive
The October 30 set has 100 base cards: 68 Normal Pals, 37 Lucky Pals, 24 Events, 19 Structures and 16 Gear, plus parallel versions (SR, OSR, SP and SSP).

These are the top base rarity (RR) cards:
- Jetragon – Legendary Guardian Dragon (colorless, cost 8, power 1700, strike 3). The strongest card in the set and the first with the Legendary ability: only one copy with the same name can be in your base at a time.
- Frostallion – Everlasting Rime (blue, cost 8, power 1500).
- Frostallion Noct – Eternal Darkness (purple, cost 8, power 1500).
- Anubis – Noble Reaper (green, cost 7, power 1200).
- Orserk – Thunderclap Roar (red, cost 8, power 1400).
- Mammorest – Gaia Crusher (green, cost 8, power 1200).
- Katress Ignis – Scathing Counter (red, cost 6).
- Faleris – Marcus’ Soaring Wings and Selyne – Saya’s Moonlit Beacon: the tower boss plus signature Pal cards, new to this set. Marcus and Saya share a card with the Pal that fights alongside them in the game.
- Zoe’s Gambit, Lily’s Gambit and Victor’s Gambit: the tower boss events, following the “Strategy” cards of the first set. Saya makes her card game debut here.
Lower-rarity Lucky Pals include Mossanda Lux, Sweepa, Sibelyx, Dumud and Quivern Botan. For video game players, the comparison is fitting: the Jetragon that is the most sought-after Legendary mount in the game is, on cardboard, the highest-power Pal printed so far.
In the first set, the RR cards were Jormuntide Ignis, Suzaku, Chillet, Relaxaurus, Lyleen, Digtoise, Helzephyr and Shadowbeak, plus the Axel’s, Victor’s, Lily’s and Zoe’s Strategy events.
Availability in Brazil
This is the less encouraging part. There is no Portuguese edition and, as of this post’s publication, we found no Brazilian store or distributor carrying the Palworld OFFICIAL CARD GAME.
Bushiroad does list an official distributor for Brazil, Cartinha (São Paulo), and its official store locator lists one partner store in Brasília. We checked both online stores: neither has any Palworld products, only the publisher’s other games and third-party lines (Cardfight!! Vanguard, Magic, One Piece, Riftbound). That may change, since the distribution channel exists and Coqui Hobby, Cartinha’s parent company and the distributor for Latin America, carries the line in the USA. For now, though, anyone in Brazil who wants the cards will have to import them in English.
In the USA, Canada, Europe and Asia the store list is much longer, and the locator on the official site is the place to check. Official tournaments (Masters League and Challengers Cup) currently run in the USA, Asia and Europe; the “Zoe’s Strategy” Special Set of November 7 is sold only at those events.
What to watch next
- December 18: “Eternal Ascent” trial decks, introducing the Rank Up ability, which strengthens Pals during a match.
- January 29, 2027: the “Eternal Ascent” booster, the third set. Bushiroad has not revealed which Pals are in it.
- The card game’s official X account is @PalworldOCG_EN, and the official site is en.palworld-official-cardgame.com, which hosts the full card list, the rules PDFs and the store locator.
We will update this post once the Eternal Ascent Pals are revealed or the game shows up for sale in Brazil. In the meantime, if you want to check the stats, drops and breeding combinations of any Pal that became a card, the Palboard Paldex covers all 299 Pals of version 1.0.5.
