Palworld 1.0.3 to 1.0.5: Everything That Changed Since Launch
A summary of the three patches released after Palworld 1.0: earlier Jetragon, sea bases at level 23, smarter Pals in combat, two new missions, Paldex search and dozens of fixes. Updated with every patch.
Since the full release on July 10, 2026, Pocketpair has shipped three Palworld patches: 1.0.3 (August 12), 1.0.4 (September 7) and 1.0.5 (September 15). None of them adds a new Pal, but together they change things players feel every day: technologies unlock earlier, Pals pick better skills in combat, two new missions arrived and fishing was rebalanced.
This page collects what matters from each patch and is updated whenever a new version ships. PalBoard’s database already reflects version 1.0.5.
Quick summary

| 1.0.4 | Sep 7, 2026 | Two new missions, Pals prioritize high-damage skills, Paldex name search, fishing rebalance |
| 1.0.5 | Sep 15, 2026 | Fixes for low-resolution textures and map filters |
Patch 1.0.3 (August 12): faster progression
The first balance patch after 1.0 focused on technologies and materials.
Jetragon comes earlier. Jetragon-related technologies moved from level 79 to level 70, and the Pal Gear needed to ride it got cheaper. The fastest flying mount in the game is no longer an endgame prize.
Sea bases at level 23. The Aquatic Construction Kit, which lets you build over water, dropped from level 66 to level 23, and its Ancient Technology Point cost went from 4 to 1. Materials and work amount were reduced too. For builders this is the most noticeable change.
World Tree Holy Water. Longer duration, weight down from 1 to 0.1, and new sources: World Tree expedition and fishing rewards, the Large Fishing Pond, more from Pals in the World Tree area and from Teafant Spring.
Other balance changes:
- Fiber from trees doubled.
- The Crude Oil Extractor, High-Pressure Crude Oil Extractor and Large Power Generator cost less, and both extractors produce faster.
- The base mission asking for a Crude Oil Extractor also accepts the High-Pressure one.
- Work amount for the Ancient Armor series adjusted.
- New server setting
bAllowEnemyCampSpawnNearBaseCamp, which lets enemy camps spawn near player bases.
Notable fixes: the Sunreach main mission no longer gets stuck if the barrier is removed before accepting it; summoned Pals no longer stop fighting or helping at the base; Alpha Surfent produces Leather on the Ranch again; an item duplication exploit was closed; Moon Lord and Ultra Raid Boss rewards were set to the intended values; Fast Travel no longer triggers during Tower Boss fights on dedicated servers.
Updated levels and materials for every technology are in PalBoard’s technology database.
Patch 1.0.4 (September 7): new missions and smarter Pals
The largest of the three.
Two new sub-missions. Beyond Dimensions is accepted from an NPC at Fisherman’s Point in Mount Obsidian. From the Far Side of the Moon continues the story after the first is cleared.
Pals prioritize damage. Summoned and Base Pals now favor the skills expected to deal the most damage, with no player input. Behavior with charging-type skills changed, and mission-target Pals and NPCs no longer fall asleep.
Paldex name search. The Paldex gained a search field plus detailed Work Suitability explanations, both in the Paldex and in the Pal status screen.
Fishing rebalance. Difficulty adjusted at Sunreach and World Tree spots, item amounts per bait revised, on-screen control guides and recommended equipment, and a new World Setting, Fish Behavior During Fishing Minigames.
Other changes:
- Ancient Bark now requires gathering suitability level 1.
- Lapure’s swimming speed and the homing bonus from Lunaris Effigies were adjusted.
- Power Bomb minimum range changed to avoid awkward backsteps; Core Eject Shotgun damage adjusted.
- The Echoing Flute can be dropped from the inventory.
- Pal Critic requests: Dogen instead of Selyne in Sakurajima; Faleris Aqua instead of Bastigor in Sunreach.
- Canceling work at production facilities returns materials to the inventory.
- Player-built Campfires no longer set players and Pals on fire.
- New admin setting: per-player building limit in the world.
- No-build zones added around the desert Field Boss Suzaku and some mission areas when building restrictions are enabled.
- Default FPS cap on PC is now 120.
- Version mismatch errors show the target’s version.
- Lower rendering load, especially in the World Tree area, and less stuttering when passives trigger.
Fixes worth highlighting: Killamari Primo’s Partner Skill Lv. 2 and Lv. 3 effects were reversed; the Lucky passive’s defense bonus did not apply; extra Mutated Eggs from Grintale’s passive did not carry mutated stats; the World Tree Guardian would not appear if Panthalus was beaten early in the Main Mission; co-op joiners could miss the host’s guild; and several crashes, including a server crash when sorting Pals.
For server admins, the two most relevant additions are the per-player building limit and 1.0.3’s bAllowEnemyCampSpawnNearBaseCamp. PalBoard’s server monitoring shows online players, level and map position in real time.
Patch 1.0.5 (September 15): fixes
A small, fixes-only patch:
- Terrain, buildings and other textures no longer load at reduced resolution for some players.
- Map icon filters no longer turn themselves off after respawning.
What this changes in PalBoard’s database
We rebuilt every catalog from the 1.0.5 game files. Compared with 1.0:
- Jetragon technologies and the Aquatic Construction Kit with their new levels and materials.
- World Tree Holy Water with its new weight.
- Crafting experience rates on more than 300 recipes.
- Adjusted drops for several Pals.
- Habitats of 161 Pals revised by Pocketpair. Nitemary, for example, now spawns only in the World Tree.
- Revised skill descriptions and names for four new boss outfits.
Browse it all in Pals, items, technologies and the interactive map.
What about 1.1?
Pocketpair has confirmed 1.1 is in development, with no date. Speaking to PC Gamer in August, the studio said it is “not planning to spend a year making a massive update”, which points to smaller, more frequent updates. This page and a dedicated post will be updated when there is an official announcement.
